This week-end I was in Amsterdam (Netherlands) with some friends fom IFIPS.; It was my first time. It's a beautiful city with a lot of canals and it improves the charm of the city. Buildings are beautiful and there are a lot of pedestrian streets. But streets are very dangerous because there are too much... bicycles !!!! It's unbelievable. The "Velib" in Paris is nothing as compared with Amsterdam. But I think that is a good thing for the environment.
We went to the Heineken brewery in order to live the "Heineken Experience". It's the local beer. It was a good experience and for 10€ you have 2 beers! Nice!
How can I speak about this city if I don't tal about the red district. Very weird at the beginning. I can't imagine that kind of district in Paris. A lot of people would be offend.
At last, Amsterdam is a beautiful city but a little bit weird. It's closed to Paris by the distance (500 km) and so far by the habitants' mentality.
